Smt. Nagalakshmi K Rao

Vidushi Smt. Nagalakshmi is one of the rare breed if puritan dancers who breathes, lives and nurtures Bharatanatyam. Born on 15 July 1970 in Holenaraipura, Hassan, Karnataka, she completed her schooling in her hometown. She is the deciple of Guru Geetha Ananthanarayan for bharatanatyam and Guru Veena Murthy Vijay for kuchipudi. Bharatanatyam Being her major forte, she secured the highest grade in state level vidwath Exam in Bharatyanatyam.

Her education and literature accomplishments are Post Graduation in History & Archaeology, Master’s Degree in Sociology, Master’s Degree in Communication & Journalism, PGDip. in Art History, AMGD (Masters in Drawing and Painting), Folk Arts of Karnataka and Diploma in Epigraphy. Her Book on North Karnataka Temple Architecture, Aihole is considered to be the Best on the topic, has been published by Karnataka University.
